What is the Sidekick?

The Sidekick is a the world's first powered footwear system. With compatible shoes, the Sidekick attaches to each leg to make every step feel lighter and easier. The Sidekick does not walk for you but with your natural walking abilities, helping to navigate daily activity. Like an e-bike for walking, the Sidekick system delivers a gentle boost with each step to help you move farther, faster, and with less effort and fatigue.

Who is the Sidekick for?

The Sidekick is a consumer device designed for adults who want to move more comfortably as they walk throughout the day. It’s built to support everyday mobility by helping reduce lower limb fatigue during common activities like walking or hiking for extended periods.

Our customers span a wide age range and live with conditions common to aging or specific such as neuropathy, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, foot drop, post-stroke effects, Parkinson’s, Achilles injuries, or other lower limb challenges. They’ve shared that they’ve been able to incorporate the Sidekick into their routines as a way to support their mobility and manage day-to-day fatigue associated with these conditions.

The Sidekick is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition. Instead, it’s designed to complement an active lifestyle and help make movement feel more sustainable over time.

Is this a medical device?

The Sidekick system is not a medical device. It's a mobility companion designed to help you feel good moving again, supporting everyday activity and confidence. As a wellness product, some users may be able to obtain medical approval and pay with HSA/FSA funds.

Am I a good fit for the Sidekick?

It can be especially helpful for people who experience discomfort, fatigue, stiffness, or reduced stability while walking and it’s equally well suited for anyone looking to move more freely and stay active day to day.
While everyone’s experience is a little different, many people find the Sidekick works well if they’re comfortable wearing standard footwear, can walk at a steady pace (around 1.5 mph or faster), have a typical walking pattern, and are motivated to stay mobile.

How easy is it to buy the Sidekick system?

Very! We just need a few measurements from you to make sure your Sidekick is a good fit for you, then you can purchase and your Sidekick system is on its way.

What's included when I purchase?

When you purchase the Sidekick Starter Pack, you will receive one pair of shoes, 1 Sidekick device, two calf straps, two shin pads, one set of batteries (including the charging dock), a torque wrench, and a carrying case to store and transport your Sidekick system wherever you take it.

Can I travel with my Sidekick system?

Absolutely! The Sidekick system is the perfect travel companion. Some of our early customers have taken their devices to Italy, France, Disney World, and on a cruise! As the Sidekick system is powered by lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries, you will need to follow standard airline regulations for LiPo battery transportation. Make sure to carry them in your hand luggage when flying so your Sidekick is ready to go wherever you are.

What's your return policy?

If you need to return your product, we've got you covered. Returns for a full refund are accepted within 30 days of shipment. If you have tried out the Sidekick and it is not for you just send back your entire system, even if you have used it. We ask that items be sent back in their original packaging. Once your return is received, Dephy will issue a refund to your original payment method. Please refer to our complete Return Policy for additional information.

What's the warranty of the Sidekick system?

Your Sidekick system and included components (body, shlever, calf straps, shin pads, and batteries) are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Please see our full Warranty Policy for more details.
